At Your Community-Owned and Operated FallonTheatre
We have a great lineup of holiday movies and events coming your way. Hope you can join us.
This Friday night, December 2 is the City of Fallon Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Maine Street from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., then join us at 6:30 for a free Christmas Concert by the Lahontan Valley Concert Choir on our stage. Also, that evening at 6:30 we will be showing the children’s movie “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.” This 1964 animated movie is narrated by Sam the Snowman who tells us the story of a young reindeer named Rudolph who lives at the North Pole. His father is one of Santa’s reindeer and it is expected that Rudolph will eventually be one too. However, he has a feature that is a setback and causes him to be ostracized: his red nose. Our second feature Friday night, after the Concert Choir, is the 1983 comedy “A Christmas Story.” In this hilarious story set in the 1940s, a young boy named Ralphie attempts to convince his parents, teacher, and Santa Clause that a Red Ryder Range 200 Shot BB gun is the perfect Christmas gift. Starring Peter Billingsley as Ralphie, Melinda Dillon, and Darren McGavin.
Saturday night we will be showing both the above movies again with “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” playing at 6:00 p.m. and “A Christmas Story” at 6:30.
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, December 21 as we are excited to have the Nashville-based country duo, Luke and Kaylee. They take our stage for a holiday show and will be playing some country, Christmas, & original songs. Tickets are $20 per person with 20% of ticket sales donated to a local charity. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with the performance starting at 7:00. For ticket information contact us at 775/427-3211. Hope to see all of you there.
As always, all movies are free.Hope to see you “at the movies”.
