Logos Christian Academy -A New Location for the New School Year

Logos Christian Academy -A New Location for the New School Year

Logos Christian Academy is excited to announce its new location for the 2023-24 school year at New Beginnings Community Church, 1191 E. Stillwater Ave. In addition to a new location, Logo is shifting to a four-day school week to align with the other Churchill County schools.

Daniel Slentz, Logos Christian Academy board member said, “Our goal is to prepare students to become young men and women who think clearly and listen carefully with discernment and understanding, who reason persuasively and articulate precisely; who are capable of evaluating their entire range of experience in the light of the Scriptures; and who do so with eagerness in joyful submission to God.” Logos uses a classical and Christ-centered education model with an emphasis on grammar, logic, and rhetoric in all subjects. They also encourage every student to develop a love for learning, live up to their academic potential, and provide an orderly atmosphere conducive to the attainment of these goals.

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
