Obituary -- Erma Dean (Deanie) Rogers (Coffey) Erma Dean Rogers
March 4, 1938 – January 17, 2022

Erma Dean (Deanie) Rogers (Coffey) a longtime resident of Fallon Nevada, stepped from our presence into the eternity on January 17th, 2022. She was greeted by the Lord with a homecoming of a good and faithful servant. She was reunited with the love of her life Roy Rogers and her oldest daughter Dawn Marie Allen who preceded her in death.

She is survived by children: Julene Peterman of Arizona. Roy Robert Rogers Jr. (wife Pam) who split time between Round Mountain and Fallon. Nancy Lee Corbett ( husband Bruce) of Fallon. Sidney Dewey, Bucky (wife Tanja) of Elko Nevada. She is also survived by her younger brother Jerry Dean Coffey of Alturas, California.

As you may recall, she always had several children with her. She and Roy opened their home to foster children in the mid-1970, sometimes having as many as 4 or 5 at a time. Children were drawn to her because of her openness to love. She always had open arms and an open heart for all who came to her. We often brag about the 80-plus kids that came to her foster home. She loved her many children.

Deanie had 8 wonderful grandchildren. Being called “grandma” or “grandma Rog” was always a source of joy for her. Not to mention how full her heart was when she was called great-grandma.

Deanie had a quick wit, infectious laugh, and bright smile. She was very intuitive and knew how to chat your way through any of life’s problems over a cup of coffee or cold soda pop. Most would say that she led by example.

She loved the Lord and his word so much that it was her way of life. She found great joy in all God had given her and she cherished all that God had blessed her with. She had a quiet, humble heart that God used to help and lift many. It just came naturally. Whether it was comforting a drug-addicted newborn or dealing with a lost, angry, hurting 10-year-old young man, Deanie did it with God’s grace, love, and discipline.

She is dearly missed by all of us. We would like to extend an opportunity to join us in a celebration of her on July 2nd, 2022 at the home of Bruce and Nancy Corbett, 9000 Pioneer Way, Fallon, NV at 4:00 pm. Please come and plan on an old-fashion family time together.
