As many of us know, Area 51 is one of the most popular visitor attractions in Nevada, mostly because of its secrets and what people claim the military are concealing there. A lot of people believe the government is hiding alien aircraft and possibly aliens beyond the miles of fences and acres of desert. The belief that this part of the military base is a cover up for alien research has been fully mythologized by pop culture over the years. Many people visit the site hoping to see green flying aircrafts sitting around but they will be very disappointed. The security personnel will not let anyone near the area. All attempts at getting into the federal site are highly discouraged. Anyone who trespasses will be turned over to law enforcement authorities and subject to local and federal penalties and prosecutions.
Another rumor about Area 51 is that it is home to the nation’s overhead surveillance program. This story started in the 1950s when some of the most important spying aircraft in American history were assembled there. They were tested and sometimes sent out on missions. Experts say the area is still a place where the Air Force and US spy agencies develop the next generation of aircraft and other weapons of war. It’s no wonder that the secrets of Area 51 are buried so deeply. But the lack of information about what actually goes on at Area 51 has allowed the many rumors and myths about the site to flourish. These myths have brought many Americans to believe that they deserve to know about whatever’s happening there.
Clearly Area 51 is a famous site people hope to see one day.
