As the opening of the school year August 18 approaches, Logos Christian Academy has a current enrollment of 96 students, with several classes at capacity, including a waiting list for both 3 and 4-year-old classes.

Families are invited for their annual Ice Cream Social on Monday, August 16th, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The evening begins in the chapel with a brief overview of the upcoming year, followed by meeting teachers, seeing classrooms, and reuniting with old or meeting new friends over ice cream.
Screenings for speech, hearing, vision, language, motor skills, and child development for children between 3 and 21 years old, believed to have a disability and not currently enrolled in the Churchill County School District will be offered August 24-26 by appointment. Call 775-423-5187 to schedule an appointment. Students will be excused from school at Logos for the appointment.
Logos Christian Academy will be joining in partnership with the High Desert Grange in becoming its own chapter and offering after-school classes for students starting in the fall. Families can participate in all Grange-sponsored classes, both on and off-campus, for an annual family membership of $40.
Classes being considered for on-campus include Youth Leadership & Public Speaking, Animal Science, Lego Robotics, Cooking, Archery, Horticulture, Homesteading, and Painting (offered at different times throughout the year). Several adults have agreed to teach courses, but the school is looking for additional volunteers or ideas.
