Reviews -- The Fallon Post Bar Crawl

As a form of “research”, we’ve gone into the community and designed a bar crawl for the people of Fallon. Not all of the establishments are within walking distance of each other, so please drink and drive responsibly. Get a designated driver, and support our local hotspots where everyone will know your name – in a good way.

The Grid – I reviewed the food of this location earlier, but never experienced the bar aspect of this town's west end hangout. The bar is the only one in town with an industrial theme, creating a perfect atmosphere for an after-work breakdown. The drinks are no-nonsense, yet there are still some creative choices for anyone looking to experiment. Our research squad started the crawl with some moscow mules, while I had an O’douls in honor of being the designated driver and because it was my dad’s go to for my entire youth.

Malkos’ - Malkos’ is like the bar you see in a television sitcom. It is the hangout for the group of friends who meet once a week and talk about what’s going on in their lives. The place is small, intimate, and friendly. With a slight cabin feel, the staff makes you feel at home. On my excursions I had great drink recommendations, and a classic bartender for customer talk. I felt like Norm, but with longer hair and less jokes about my wife. At this location, the team continued with the mules, while also branching into vodka cranberries. As a staff of women, we always find ways to avoid UTIs.

Leah’s - Leah’s has a great area to meet new people. It is the classic bar. There are multiple pool tables, a jukebox, and good classic drinks. The place is like a hole in the wall bar that welcomes all walks of life in for a drink and a good time, but in a huge space.

Malkos’ and Leah’s are within walking distance of each other. Add to your route by traveling to The Slippery that is only a block away. Instead of driving an hour to a big city, spending money on a hotel room, wristbands, and other unnecessary accessories, stay local and support the Fallon businesses. Enjoy testing the bar crawl route on your own or with a squad of friends and just have a locally good time.
