Frey Ranch Whiskey Harvest on the Farm

Frey Ranch Whiskey Harvest on the Farm

In celebration of its annual harvest season, Frey Ranch Distillery will host its third yearly Whiskey Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 5, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bigger and better than before, the festival will feature a sip and shop, food trucks, complimentary tours of the distillery, live music and more. The annual Whiskey Harvest celebration is also a chance for Frey Ranch to commemorate a special anniversary, as the award-winning American Whiskey brand marks ten years of distilling in Northern Nevada this year. More details can be found online at Frey Ranch’s Facebook page.

Last year’s Whiskey Harvest drew a crowd from all over the West Coast. This year, the complimentary event will feature an impressive array of vendors and activations to entertain guests. Spread out among the tasting room and main lawn, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase handmade and artisan goods from 18 local vendors, such as pottery, clothing, and woodwork, as well as Frey Ranch’s signature boozy pickles made in collaboration with Nevada Brining Company.

Delicious fare from several food trucks and seasonal Frey Ranch craft cocktails will also be available for purchase. The festivities will include a corn cannon activity and live music by the local band The Coaches. A complete list of vendors and food trucks is below:

“To honor ten years of distilling, we wanted this Whiskey Harvest Festival to be a celebration unlike any other with more opportunities for our guests to interact with an incredible group of local vendors, from food and drink to home goods,” said co-founder Ashley Frey. “Colby and I are incredibly grateful for the warm embrace we’ve received from our Northern Nevada community, so putting together the Whiskey Harvest Festival is our way of celebrating with everyone that’s supported us through the years.”

As winners of the Nevada Agriculture Small Business award, Frey Ranch is among only a few whiskey producers who grow, harvest, distill, and malt 100% of its whiskey grains on-site. The annual Whiskey Harvest yields the crops of corn, wheat, barley, and rye that make Frey Ranch a true farm-to-glass distillery. As the seasons change, the annual Whiskey Harvest runs from August to late October and will be marked with the festival at Frey Ranch.
