Whether you graduated from Churchill County High School decades ago or just this year, attended another Fallon school, or now call another community home, the 12th Annual Community-Wide Reunion offers an opportunity to reconnect with classmates, catch up with old friends, and spend a weekend celebrating the community that brought everyone together.
The reunion returns Friday and Saturday, Aug. 14-15, at Oats Park, bringing together alumni, former residents, teachers, students, families, and friends to celebrate the people and places that have shaped the community over the years.
The weekend begins at 7 p.m. Friday with a free concert by Kat & Dave at the Fallon Theatre. Saturday starts with a free breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Oats Park Arts Center Lariat Patio, along with a free show-and-shine car show, antique tractor display, and tours of the Oats Park School and Arts Center. Guided tours of several historic landmarks, including the Old High School, Douglass House, Old Post Office, Fallon Police Department, City Hall, and the Fallon/Churchill Fire Department, will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon.
Additional Saturday activities include tours of the Churchill County Museum and Historic Fallon Theatre, free swimming at the city pool and splash pad, Frey Ranch Distillery tours, and an afternoon gathering at Oats Park beginning at 4 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy food vendors, a photo booth, face painting, balloon art, and other family activities. The Class of 1966 will be recognized during the celebration.
The weekend wraps up with a free concert by Boot Juice at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Oats Park.
