Logos Fundraising Gala a Success

Logos Fundraising Gala a Success

Logos Christian Academy's 25th Anniversary Silver Linings Fundraising Gala was a success. We cannot express enough gratitude to the people who made this event possible.

A special thank you to Brenna Goings, Whitney Brown, and the fundraising committee for organizing this year's event - making it beautiful and seamless. Our enthusiastic UPLIFT parent volunteers took charge of the drink stations, photo vignettes, and stunning decorations. A huge shout out to Cori and 3C's Catering for the incredible food that did not disappoint, with mouthwatering tri-tip, crispy green beans, and potatoes au gratin that would make anyone weak in the knees.

If you are familiar with private schools, you know that fundraising events like these are crucial. Logos is incredibly blessed to have such an outstanding group of parent volunteers, staff, and donors. We appreciate the efforts of all who elevate these events into something spectacular. The DJ kept spirits high during the long food line, and our auctioneer, Colonel Anthony R. Mendoza III, excelled at his role and brought character and charm to the event. This was his ninth auction for Logos Christian Academy. He and his wife Vada traveled from Middleton, ID, helped make the event as successful as it was fun. Thank you, Colonel Mendoza III!

To all our families and friends, whether you volunteered your time on campus, donated auction items, helped organize the auction, or attended the event—we are grateful for your support. Through the contributions of families, faculty, staff, and generous donors, we have cultivated an environment that fosters intellectual growth, spiritual development, and a love for Christ. “Each of you should give as you have decided in your heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
