The start of the new school year is just around the corner, and Veritas Preparatory School is buzzing with activity as staff, parents and community members pitch in to prepare the campus for students’ return. From major facility upgrades to small but meaningful finishing touches, the school is working hard to ensure a fresh, safe and welcoming environment for the first day of classes.
One of the most visible improvements greets visitors before they even set foot on campus: the aging wooden fence has been replaced by Mule Fence Inc., giving the school a sturdier, cleaner perimeter. Along with the new fencing, two brand-new gates are being installed to improve both security and accessibility.
Up above, the campus canopy also got some attention. MD Tree Surgery provided professional trimming for multiple trees around the grounds, removing dead branches and ensuring a safer, tidier look. The pruning not only brightens the view but also promotes healthier growing conditions for the trees.
The campus transformation wasn’t just left to the professionals. On Saturday, a team of Veritas parents and volunteers rolled up their sleeves for a community work day. Over several hours, they tackled a long list of projects — painting fresh four-square lines on the playground, installing new bulletin boards in classrooms and giving the play area a thorough cleaning.
“The grounds are looking better than ever,” said Assistant Headmaster David Ernst. “We’ve made room for an upcoming building project, cleared out a storage area to create a teacher resource room, and prepared the remainder of campus for the students’ return on the 18th.”
With these improvements in place, Veritas Preparatory School is not only ready to welcome students back but is setting the stage for an exciting and productive academic year. The spruced-up campus stands as a testament to the dedication of both the school staff and the families who help make Veritas a thriving place to learn.
