Hats Off to Her Rodeo Majesty: Calling the Next Fallon Jr. Rodeo Queen

Hats Off to Her Rodeo Majesty: Calling the Next Fallon Jr. Rodeo Queen

The Fallon Junior Rodeo Queen is more than a title — she’s the face of the rodeo, a poised young ambassador who promotes the sport, represents her community, and inspires others with grace, grit, and horsemanship.

Since 2017, the Fallon Junior Rodeo has proudly crowned a queen each year to represent the event and its values. Open to girls ages 6 to 13, the queen pageant challenges contestants to showcase their skills in speech, horsemanship, overall appearance, and personality. She must be able to speak knowledgeably about all things rodeo, as well as jump on a horse anytime and perform her duties.

This year’s pageant will take place on Thursday, August 29, at 5:30 p.m., with the crowning during the lunch break at the Fallon Junior Rodeo on Friday, August 30.

The Fallon Junior Rodeo Queen contest is a rigorous competition designed to highlight well-rounded cowgirls who know their rodeo and can speak with confidence, ride with skill, and represent with pride.

Whether she’s making public appearances, promoting the rodeo, or swinging into the saddle with confidence, the Fallon Jr. Rodeo Queen represents dedication, community pride, and true rodeo spirit.

Thanks to the efforts of Loni Faught, the 1995 National High School Rodeo Queen, and Jennifur Peek, a former Nevada High School Rodeo Queen, who helped establish and expand the Fallon Jr. Rodeo Queen contest, this proud rodeo tradition continues to thrive.

Past Fallon Jr. Rodeo Queens include Josie Peek (2017), Haylee Soffel (2018), and Lauren Goings, who graciously served for both 2019 and 2020 during the pandemic. Stella Lee held the title in 2021, followed by Macady Bogdanowicz in 2022, Evva Brown in 2023, and Mylee Macedo in 2024.

I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking. I am Kelly’s sister, Charlene B Johnson and his daughter is Trisha Benjamin. The Fallon Tribal Police acted unconscionably by not notifying the family first. This is devastating for us especially after speaking a little bit with the officer handling the report and The Chief Juarez. Who refused to give me any further details or to at least let me know the FBI was notified and that they were investigating if my brothers death was foul play or not. My understanding is the FBI is called when a body is found. Tribal Chairwoman please do the family a solid and make sure the finding of my brother was due to suspicious circumstances.Comment publication date: 3/24/26, 1:55 PMComment source: Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe Reports Death Under Investigation
