Movies & More October 11 – 12

Movies & More October 11 – 12

If you enjoyed the Show ‘N’ Shine last month, the perfect October car movie is coming up to enjoy. Friday and Saturday, October 11 and 12, at 7 p.m. “Christine” will be showing at the Fallon Theatre. This movie is rated R primarily for violence, gore, and profanity. This 1983 supernatural horror film is based on a novel by Stephen King and tells the story of a 1958 Plymouth Fury possessed by an evil spirit on a teenager-killing rampage. It has a runtime of 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Come watch “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” rated PG, on both Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. Jack Skellington, king of Halloween Town, accidentally discovers Christmas Town, but his attempts to bring Christmas to his home cause confusion. This movie has a runtime of 1 hour and 16 minutes.

Also, on Saturday, October 12th, at 3 p.m., the Churchill County Museum will use the theatre’s historic stage for its Second Annual Chautauqua Theatre program, "Nevada's Pioneering Spirits!" This all-adult performance will have an admission of $25 at the door, but tickets can be purchased through the museum at a reduced cost prior to the performance. They sold out last year and expect to again.

In the coming weeks, don’t miss other fun October movies – “Hocus Pocus,” “The Lost Boys,” “Casper,” “Halloween,” and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” plus the downtown Maine Street Spooktacular on October 31 for tons of safe trick-or-treating. Then, in November, we’ll have Lee Hardin on stage for live comedy on November 15 and Steve & Raena performing live on October 23.

Check out the full schedule of movies and events on www.fallontheatre.com, Facebook, or Instagram.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
