Opening night is just over a week away for the PACC community musical  “Fiddler on the Roof.” The cast, crew, and orchestra have been working hard to bring Fiddler to life. The first show is Friday March 1 and tickets are still available through the PACC website (https://www.paccnv.org/tickets.html)] for $18 plus processing fees. Tickets will be available for $20 at the door as seating allows.

The show will begin promptly at 7 pm on March 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9, with a matinee at 1 pm on Saturday March 2. In-person ticket sales begin 45 minutes before curtain, and doors open half an hour before the show starts. Ten minutes after the show begins the doors will close and there will be no admittance after that time. There will be one 15 minute intermission at each performance and limited concessions will be available.

During intermission, PACC will be holding the “minute to give it” fundraiser for the Sara Swenson Memorial Performing Arts Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to one or more graduating seniors in Churchill County who have been active in the performing arts during their high school career and are pursuing a higher education at a 2-year or 4-year college or a trade school. Donations towards the scholarship will be gratefully accepted during each performance. Those eligible for the scholarship can apply on the PACC website (https://www.paccnv.org/scholarship.html).

Performing Arts of Churchill County (PACC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving Fallon and Churchill County. PACC sees the value performing arts brings to individuals and the community. They strive to educate and provide opportunities for community members of all ages to participate in a variety of performance areas, including singing, dancing, acting and instrumental music. PACC aims to promote and grow the arts culture of our community and invite everyone to participate as a performer, technician, volunteer, or audience member.

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
