Center Street Farmer’s Market is Back - in New Location

Center Street Farmer’s Market is Back - in New Location
Farmer’s Market in Fallon is a summer tradition with fresh, local produce, family farmers from over the hill in California who come with their stone fruit, the blood drive, and plenty of local vendors. Tonight, the market will debut at the new location on the corner of Center Street and Taylor Street, opening at 4:00 p.m. Kelli Kelly, Director of the Fallon Food Hub and the Farmer’s Market said that the market is partnering this year with the Twisted Branch and will be located in the large lot just south of the shop. She said that, “it occurred to us that it is just a much smarter idea for us to combine our efforts instead of making all of our customers and the people in Fallon choose between going to enjoy a cocktail and enjoying music at the Twisted Branch or coming to shop for produce and listen to other music at another location.” Instead they have combined forces and made one central location. Tonight is the first of three blood drives with the Blood Mobile on location, and Kelly said that each blood drive is timed so that if you give blood tonight, enough time will have passed by the last Farmer’s Market in the fall that you could also give blood again the last market at the end of September. The Schletewitz family that has come every year will also be at the market tonight along with Lattin Farms, and Scott Goodpasture. Battle Born Ice Cream, Wings n Things, and Little Girl Lemonade will also attend, along with One Bite at a Time and the knife sharpener. Kelly reminds non-profit organizations that anything that is community education or non-profit group can have a booth at the market for free, and they just need to contact the market organizers. There will be music at every market, provided by Davy Munoz tonight, and Kelly encourages any musicians or local bands that are interested in playing to contact her as well. The Center Street Market will run from June 7th through the end of September, and is open each Friday night from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Contact Kelli Kelly at [email protected] for more information.     Never miss the local news — read more on The Fallon Post home page. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
