Get ready for the festive sounds of the Churchill Kids Choir (CKC), formerly known as the PACC Children’s Choir, as they enchant audiences with two exciting December concerts. Their first performance was at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting, where they performed before the tree lit up, welcoming Santa to the festivities.

On December 7, at 7 p.m., CKC joins forces with the Lahontan Valley Concert Choir at the Churchill County High School Auditorium for a free holiday music celebration. Everyone is invited to share the joy of the season at this special event.

Churchill Kids Choir is part of Performing Arts of Churchill County, and members range in age from 3rd to 8th grade. Directors Tom and Patty Fleming, along with Noreen Swenson, have been discussing doing a children's choir for many years. They are thrilled to finally have the choir up and going. There were five kids at the first rehearsal and 15 at the second. The CKC now boasts a membership that is 23-strong. Tom Fleming says, “We are very happy with the kids who showed up, and they're doing great. The Churchill Kids Choir is great for the kids and great for the community.”

CKC invites new students to join for the spring concert season starting in January. Registration details and forms are available at

PACCNV.org, with a $30 registration fee.
As part of Performing Arts of Churchill County, a 501(c)3 non-profit, CKC contributes to Fallon and Churchill County's vibrant arts culture. PACC encourages community involvement in singing, dancing, acting, and instrumental music, fostering a rich performing arts community for all to enjoy. Join them in embracing the arts as a performer, technician, volunteer, or audience member.

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
