In a display of community support, Fallon’s Frey Ranch Distillery proudly raised $2,600 during this year’s annual Whiskey Harvest Celebration to benefit the Fallon Food Hub. This year's contribution will help the Food Hub continue to focus on the importance of local agriculture, promoting seasonal eating, and addressing food insecurity within the community.

The Fallon Food Hub, a local non-profit organization, plays a vital role in creating opportunities for local farmers. By facilitating connections between producers and consumers, it establishes a sustainable ecosystem while educating the community on the advantages of eating seasonally. The funds raised will further empower the Food Hub in its mission to provide education and support for those facing food insecurity.

A heartfelt shout-out goes to everyone who contributed to this success, demonstrating that the spirit of giving thrives in the Lahontan Valley. As Fallon continues to support initiatives like the Fallon Food Hub, it reinforces the town's identity as a place where compassion and community flourish. Cheers to a successful Whiskey Harvest Celebration, and a special thanks to Ashley Robertson for championing this cause.

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
