Carson Chamber Singers Present Joseph & James AKA Haydn & Taylor
Joseph & James AKA Haydn & Taylor

Staff Report

The Carson Chamber Singers are presenting the Joseph & James on Saturday, October 21, at 7 p.m. at the Epworth Methodist Church, 280 E. Stillwater Avenue. The 40-member chorus is under the direction of Dr. Gary Schwartz.

The group has been performing since 1985 as a part of the Carson City Symphony Association. They perform with the Carson City Symphony and the Reno Philharmonic, as well as several other venues in Northern Nevada and as far west as Sacramento, presenting five or more concerts annually.

The program combines classical and contemporary music. It features Joseph Haydn's "Missa brevis Sancti Joannis de Deo," known as "Kleine Orgelmesse" ("The Little Organ Mass"), and songs recorded by James Taylor: "Mockingbird," "Sweet Baby James," "Up on the Roof," "That Lonesome Road," "Fire and Rain," and "Your Smiling Face."

The group’s Fallon performance of Joseph & James combines the music of Joseph Haydn and James Taylor into a show you won’t want to miss. General admission tickets are $18. Discount tickets for seniors (age 62 plus), students, and Carson City Symphony Association members are $15. Youth ages 18 and under are admitted free. Tickets are available online at CCSymphony.com or Facebook.com/CarsonCitySymphony and at the door.

For information about joining the choral group, call the Symphony Association at 775-883-4154 or see CCSymphony.com/ccsingers.htm. Public funds partly support concerts through a grant from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts and by private donations. The Carson Chamber Singers is open to singers of high school age and above. Participation is free.

They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
