Performing Arts of Churchill County Announces 2023-2024 Season

Performing Arts of Churchill County Announces 2023-2024 Season

After the success of last Spring’s “Orphan Train” Children’s Musical, Performing Arts of Churchill County is pleased to announce their 2023-2024 musical season.

This fall, PACC will present the original youth musical, “Maine Street Gang.” Written by Director Tim Wuth, “Maine Street Gang” tells the story of a group of local kids who discover an old, abandoned building downtown. After transforming it into their clubhouse, they uncover the incredible history of the old building. Will their clubhouse be demolished to make way for a new mall, or will the Maine Street Gang find a way to preserve the history of their downtown community?

“Maine Street Gang” runs November 2, 3, and 4 at the historic Fallon Theatre. Auditions will be held from September 11-16 at Numa Elementary and open to students in grades 4 through 8. Sign up for an audition time at https:/ /ww w.paccnv.o rg /yo uth -musical.html.

After the new year, PACC will produce the classic community musical “Fiddler on the Roof.” Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, the “Fiddler on the Roof” universal theme of tradition cuts across race, class, nationality, and religion barriers, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy, and sadness.

Directed by Tom Fleming, “Fiddler on the Roof” runs March 1, 2, 7, 8, and 9, 2024, at the Churchill County High School Theater and is open to all ages. Auditions run November 6-9, 2023.

PACC presents its Second Annual Children’s Musical, “Gilligan’s Island.” this spring. Open to students in grades 3 through 6. A group of castaways shipwrecked on a remote island must adapt to their new island home and each other. Join the colorful cast of characters, including Gilligan, the Skipper, and the Professor, as they learn what it takes to work together and survive.

“Gilligan’s Island” runs May 2, 3, and 4 at the Churchill County High School Theater, with auditions the week of March 11-14.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
