Colby Ingram In Custody – Facing High-Level Child Exploitation Charges

Colby Ingram In Custody – Facing High-Level Child Exploitation Charges
Colby Ingram

This story was edited from its original version:

On July 27, Christopher Coby Ingram appeared before New River Township Justice Court Judge, Stuart Richardson. Ingram is in custody at the Churchill County Jail and is facing multiple high-level felony charges related to child exploitation, including:

Count 1: Use of a Minor 14 Years of Age or Older in Producing Pornography or as a Subject of Sexual Portrayal in Performance, a Category A Felony punishable by life in prison and a fine of up to $100,000. According to the Criminal Complaint, on or about April 24, 2023, Ingram did allegedly “knowingly use, encourage, entice, coerce, or permit a minor 14 years of age or older to be the subject of sexual portrayal in a performance.” It is further alleged Ingram placed a hidden camera in the bathroom of the residence to capture an inappropriate video of a juvenile female.

Count 2: Possession of Visual Pornography of a Person Under Age 16 years of age, a Category B Felony, which carries a potential penalty of 1-6 years in prison. The Criminal Complaint alleges that on the same date and address indicated in Count 1, Ingram placed a hidden video camera in the living room capturing inappropriate video of a juvenile.

Counts 3, 4, and 5: Capturing an Image of Private Area of Another Person (x3), Gross Misdemeanors with each count punishable by up to 364 days in jail. It is alleged that Ingram placed a hidden video camera in the bathroom capturing the private parts of an adult female. Three counts indicate that the alleged action occurred three times.

Count 6: Failure to Register as an Ex-Felon, a misdemeanor with a potential penalty of a fine not exceeding $500 or imprisonment in the county jail for a term not exceeding six months, or by both fine and imprisonment. It is alleged that Ingram unlawfully failed to notify Law Enforcement of his address within 48 hours of an address change, having been previously convicted of a felony in the State of Nevada, which requires him to register as an ex-felon.

Churchill County Public Defender Jacob Sommer was assigned to represent Ingram, who was scheduled to appear for a status hearing in Justice Court on August 3. However, the matter was continued to September 7.

Ingram is also facing probation violation charges in District Court. In January of 2022, Ingram received probation on suspended sentences of 38-96 months in prison for embezzlement and 22-56 months for theft, with the terms to run consecutively. He was also ordered to pay $11,690.74 in restitution. Ingram is scheduled to appear in District Court on the alleged probation violation on September 26.

Please note: Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty according to Constitutional Due Process protections outlined in the 5th, 6th, and 14th Amendments. The Fallon Post court reports are based solely on publicly available legal documents and/or court hearings unless otherwise stated.

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
