Green Goddess Market a Huge Success

It was a perfect day for an outdoor market, the weather cooperated for hundreds of attendees who enjoyed offerings from 36 vendors at this year’s first Green Goddess Market and Seedling Sale on Saturday, May 6. It opened at 10 a.m. at the Oats Park Art Center and was non-stop for more than four hours.
Local growers offered garden-ready seedlings, bushes, and trees of all sizes. Rare peppers, heirloom tomatoes, medicinal and specialty herbs, berry bushes, cut and potted flowers, and native Nevada plants. There were so many colors and varieties to choose from. The growers responsible for the beauties included Two Ravens Farm, Fisk Farm Herbs, Garden Roots, The Village Garden Center, Workman Farms, Nearly Native Plant Nursery, Bijou's Blooms, Yellow Petal Flower Farm, Pickin’ and Grinnin’ Farm, and Mewaldt Farm. This was the first year Workman Farms took part in the market, offering garden plants that included strawberries, herbs, horseradish, squash, corn, raspberries, blackberries, rhubarb, perennials, and shrubs. They also brought boutique items such as house plants and succulents, handmade totes, table runners, pillows, and live edge charcuterie boards.
Shoppers found a number of hand-crafted items from vendors such as Purposeful Living, Randy Summer’s Ceramics, Ellen Ann Studios, Autumn Lunary, Soho Gypsy Treasure, Paradise Creations, Mimi Shimmer, Pinion Arts, NV US Silverworks and so many others. It was a unique collection of offerings from these many talented vendors.
There were plenty of goodies for attendees with an appetite or thirst. Food and beverage choices were available from vendors Retro Brew Coffee, Great Basin Apothecary and Herbal Cooperative, Deep Roots Bake Company, One Bite at a Time, Cuppiecakes, BeWitchen Kitchen Herbary and Tea Garden, Pizza Hut, Antojitos Amor a La Mexicana, Kim's Kool Treats, and Mendoza's MM Food Truck.
For adults that also had the desire to imbibe, the Lariat Bar was open with a full selection of alcoholic beverages, with the day's special cocktails of Bloody Marys and Blackberry Lemonade Mimosa. The Black Rabbit Mead Company was back at the market this year offering their dry honey cider-style mead, beef jerky, Sierra Nevada honey, and Black Rabbit apparel. While sipping and grinning in the Lariat courtyard area, sitting at tables in the sun, attendees enjoyed music by Dineen and the Great Basin Band who opened with songs by Elvis, Fleetwood Mac, and Bryan Adams. The band played numerous cover songs over the course of the market day, encouraging dancers from little tots to much older adults.
The Green Goddess Market also hosted their first-ever Student Art Sale. Young talent from Churchill County High School and Oasis Academy were able to showcase their paintings, drawings, and ceramics. There was even a Kids Zone this year. High Desert Grange provided an amazingly talented face painter, flower crown craft, and petting zoo. Magical Party Rentals provided two bounce houses, their castle, and their pirate ship. The kiddie-favorite vendors such as Kim's and Cuppiecakes were Strategically positioned in this zone.
Yes, it was a perfect day in a perfect place for this perfect market and seedling sale that offered something for everyone of every age.

A cost analysis should be created so we can see what is reasonable cost for that pasture. 3.the tenants of that pasture Have not changed for years .I think they need to open it up for all eligible applicants in Churchill County!Comment publication date: 4/23/26, 9:25 AMComment source: Ranchers Push Back as NDOW Nearly Doubles Carson Pasture Grazing FeesComment author: David KittleComment text: I praise the Lord that you are now in your heavenly home and no longer in pain. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Sophie. We still remember her from your visit to Edmonton when Sophie was just a little girl. I can still see her standing on the sidewalk beside your car and waving madly with a big smile as if she’d always known us and we were now best friends. We are so thankful to know a deep faith runs through your family and you know that Sophie is freed from her pain and is at home with her Lord and Saviour. May God grant all of you the peace and comfort that only God can give during this time of grief.Comment publication date: 4/20/26, 4:05 PMComment source: Sophia Katherine BehimerComment author: ThughesComment text: Thanks to all who came and stood up !
