The Tenth Judicial District Court convened Tuesday, April 4, with Judge Thomas Stockard presiding.

Nicholas Pierre Ashley appeared for sentencing on a Category D Felony of Convicted Sex Offender Violating Provisions and a Gross Misdemeanor charge of Assault on an Officer. Fees and assessments were imposed, and the judge sentenced Ashley to 12-36 months in Nevada State Prison on the Category D charge, suspended, with 24 months probation, standard conditions to apply. Ashley was ordered to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow the recommendations as well as maintain full-time employment. On the Gross Misdemeanor, fees and assessments were imposed, and Ashley received a sentence of 30 days in Churchill County Jail, to be served 2 days at a time within six months. Ashley was also ordered to keep his sex offender registration current.
Robert Webster Going pleaded guilty to a Category C charge of Battery Causing Substantial Bodily Harm, which carries a potential penalty of 1-5 years in Nevada State Prison and a fine of up to $10,000. A Pre-sentence Investigative Report was ordered, sentencing was set for June 20.
Sarah Arlene Marsh appeared on a technical probation violation. Marsh admitted she consumed alcohol the morning of her hearing. The judge ordered Court Services to test her, results showed a blood alcohol of .35. The judge found Marsh in Direct Contempt of Court for appearing in court under the influence. He sentenced her to seven days in Churchill County Jail and she was remanded to the Churchill County Sheriff for the imposition of sentence. A Status Hearing was set for April 11.
Matthew Logan Spry, in custody, pled not guilty to five Category A Felonies: 1) Lewdness with a Minor under the age of 14, 2) Sexual Assault of a Child Under the age of 14, 3) Sexual Assault of a Child Under the Age of 14, 4) Sexual Assault of a Child Under 14 Years of Age, and 5) Incest. Count 1 carries a potential sentence of life in Nevada State Prison, with the possibility of parole after 10 years, and a fine of not more than $10,000; counts 2, 3, & 4 carry a potential sentence of life, with the possibility of parole after 35 years; count 5 carries a potential penalty of two years to life. A trial was set for August 7 through 11. A settlement conference was set for May 26.
Lawrence Franklin Charles pleaded guilty to a Category D Felony of Driving under the influence of Intoxicating Liquor or a Controlled or Prohibited Substance, a 3rd or subsequent offense, which carries a mandatory sentence of 1-6 years in Nevada State Prison and a fine of $2,000 - $5,000 unless the defendant applies for and complete the DUI diversion program. A PSI was ordered, and sentencing was set for June 27. Charles was ordered to provisionally enter DUI diversion on April 12, and he is to be supervised by Court Services until that date.
Matthew Alan Lee, in custody, pleaded guilty to a Category E Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine). Lee received a suspended sentence of 19-48 months in Nevada State Prison and 18 months probation with standard conditions. He was ordered to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow the recommendations. Fees and assessments were imposed.
Jillian Olivia Yesslith, in custody, appeared for sentencing on one charge of Grand Larceny of Personal Goods or Property which can be sentenced as either a Gross Misdemeanor or as a Category E Felony. She and a co-defendant allegedly stole an air conditioning unit. Fees and assessments were imposed and the judge sentenced the charge as a felony. Yesslith received a sentence of 19-48 months in Nevada State Prison, suspended, 18 months probation, and was ordered to complete 250 hours of community service, suspended. Along with standard conditions of probation, the judge ordered the defendant to enter and complete a long-term residential treatment through Indian Health Services. She is to remain in custody until she has a bed date and is to return to court when she completes the treatment. No contact with co-defendant Kyle Fuller was ordered.
Bryan Ray Golding, in custody, pleaded guilty to a Category E Felony of Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Following arguments by ADA Lane Mills and PD Jacob Sommer, Golding was sentenced on 3 charges. On the Category C Felony of Attempt to Ownership or Possession of a Firearm by a Certain Prohibited Person, he received 24-60 months in Nevada State Prison. On the Category E Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance, he was sentenced to 12-36 months, to run consecutively. On the second Category E Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance, the sentence was 19-48 months, to run consecutively for a total of 55-144 months in Nevada State Prison. All sentences were suspended, and Golding was placed on probation with standard conditions. Additional conditions include Golding entering and completing Western Regional Drug Court, obtaining both a substance abuse evaluation and a mental health evaluation, and following the recommendations of both evaluations. Fees and assessments were imposed.
Jordan Annmarie Clairmont, in custody, admitted to a technical probation violation with several allegations, including failure to make any payments on restitution, continued use of alcohol and drugs, failure to report, and petit larceny. The judge temporarily revoked probation for 30 days, which Clairmont had already served. Probation was reinstated with standard conditions. She was also ordered to obtain a substance abuse evaluation within 30 days and follow the recommendations and make payments to restitution of $80 a month beginning this month. Probation and Parole was ordered to report immediately if a payment is missed.

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all.
