Obituary - Sylvia Ann Tuttle

Sylvia passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022, of complications of Parkinson’s disease.

She was born in Oildale, CA to Richard and Ima Mahon in 1949. Being a railroad family, the Mahons moved 13 times before finally settling in Pleasant Hill.

Sylvia graduated from College Park High School in 1968 and started working for Pacific Bell in San Francisco. She was married on July 12, 1969, for 53 years to her beloved husband Rex. She moved to Chico for four years, landing in Reno in 1974. She retired from Nevada Bell in 2002 after 33 years of service.

Sylvia was Worthy Matron of Eastern Star #13 of Reno where she met many wonderful friends.

She is preceded in death by her dad and stepmom Richard and Sybil, and her in-laws Jesse and Janis.

She is survived by her husband Rex, her mom Ima, brother Robert, and sisters Christine and Amy, as well as her sons Brian and Steven, and her grandkids Cortney, Tyler, Abby, Cierra, Quincy, Chloe, and Brooklyn, and great grandkids Aleah, Tanner, and Zayden.

She was loved by everyone in her life and will be forever missed.
