Holiday Challenge Results

The baton has been passed – for several years the Fallon Police Department has won the annual First Responders Holiday Food Drive challenge. This year Sheriff's Office won by gathering 7,260 pounds of food. The total amount of food gathered this year was 24,040 pounds of food which was donated last Sunday to the Out of Egypt food pantry. The total amount of food donated by the Churchill County Sheriff, the Fallon Police Department, the Fallon Tribe Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol, Churchill County Search and Rescue, the Fallon/Churchill Fire Department, and the Banner Churchill EMS, since 2016 is 122,788 pounds of food to help those in need during the holidays.
