Obituary -- Myrna Schultz
Myrna Schultz

Myrna (Humiston) Schultz 85 of Fallon, Nevada; whose heart never left Montana, was reunited with the love of her life on November 18, 2021. As always, she was surrounded by love, peace and Big Band music. Myrna Lou was born in Great Falls, Montana to Harold and Byrle Humiston joining brother, William. As a child of teachers, she called several small towns home; Cascade, Belt and Simms among them. Fate brought the Humiston family to Dutton where Myrna was instantly smitten with Eugene Schultz, a very handsome young man who would become her husband and soulmate.

After college and Gene’s service to his country in the Army, the young couple moved from Oregon to the family farm east of Dutton. Over the next many years, they raised livestock, grain, and four children. The Oregon coast called once more and they answered becoming the proud owners of the Heceta Beach RV Park. Myrna and Gene loved to travel in their many different RVs so the park was a clear next step in their journey together. Having several wonderful years on the coast, Montana once again beckoned them back. They settled in the Bitterroot Valley enjoying retirement, family time, renewing old friendships, and building new ones. Their time in the Bitterroot was cut short by Gene’s untimely passing. After several years, Myrna moved to Helena where she and her special friend, Bill Stinchfield shared treasured time before he too passed. Myrna loved the snowbird life and split the rest of her years between her homes in Yuma, Arizona, and Fallon, Nevada. Myrna enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren sharing countless Oreos, tea parties, and attending many different sporting and special events.

Myrna is survived by sons, Dean (Joy) Schultz of Fallon; Don (Jan) Schultz of Yuma, AZ, and daughter, Stacey (Jim) Humiston of Dutton, MT; grandchildren Jordan Schultz, Shelbi Schultz, Britt (Jed) Ewert, Ashley (Emmett) Rossmiller, Zach (Niki) Rossmiller, Logan (Nichole) Rossmiller, Chase (Gabby) Rossmiller and Martin Schultz; great-grandchildren, Luke and LJ Ewert, Ryder and Camden Rossmiller and Eloise Rossmiller; dear friends Carolyn (Duane) Harper and Zola (Sam) Hunt as well as many others.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Byrle; brother William; husband, Gene; son, Daniel and special friend, Bill.

There will be a graveside memorial service held in the spring or summer as Myrna detests cold weather. Because she loved to read, instead of flowers, donations to the Dutton Public Library would be a fitting tribute.

A special thank you to Infinity Hospice especially Shelly, Destiny and Michelle. Their compassion and devotion made this journey so much easier. Also, a very special thank you to Joy Schultz who was invaluable not only for the emotional comfort that she provided but also for her expertise in aiding in the navigation of the medical waters.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home, 775-423-8928.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
