Obituary -- Patricia Doreen (Sharp) Fisk
Patricia Fisk

Our Beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Patricia Doreen (Sharp) Fisk passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 77.

Patricia was born in Babbitt, Nevada, to Phyllis and Clarence Sharp on July 11, 1944. She graduated from Mineral County High School, MCHS, in 1962 and went to work at the Mineral County Power Company. This is where she met the love of her life Donald Fisk. Patricia and Donald were married shortly after on January 1, 1963. The couple made their home in Hawthorne. In 1965 Patricia started her career at the Mineral County Recorder-Auditor Office where she was the Chief Deputy Recorder-Auditor. Pat was later elected and served as the Mineral County Recorder-Auditor in 1986 and continued her career for 12 more years, retiring on January 4, 1999.

Patricia’s greatest love was her family. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother, who made time for everyone. Her hobbies were her children and grandchildren. She supported them in all that they did. You could count on her and her husband Donald to attend every sporting event, music performance, or school function possible in support of her grandchildren. She was a great listener and had a wealth of wisdom to share with family and friends.

She is survived by her children Brad (Stacy) Fisk, Jami (Travis) Rowlett, and Juli Fisk. Her Grandchildren Deena (David) Millsap, Nicolette (Jason) Wicks, Geddy (Taylor) Fisk, Hannah Fisk, Taylen Wachsmuth, Treven Wachsmuth, Danner Rowlett, Jayona Kimmins, and Drake Rowlett. Great-Grandchildren Liam, Clara, Oliver, Elizabeth, Layden, her brother Bernard (Peggie) Sharp, her sisters Gladys Porter and Janae Sharp, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patrica is preceded in death by her parents Clarence & Phyllis Sharp, her husband Donald Fisk, her brothers Milton, Robert, Larry Sharp, and her sister Yvonne (Sharp) McMurphy.

The celebration of life will be held at Joe’s Tavern/Restaurant on Friday, October 29 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
