JOIN Inc., formerly known as Job Opportunities in Nevada, has been around for over 30 years helping people gain job skills and good-paying, permanent careers, while also helping employers find quality team members. While evolving with the times and working to meet the workforce needs of the state, JOIN staff across the state continue in this unprecedented job market to bring employees and employers together.

As the state center for the deployment of federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act funding, JOIN makes financial assistance available to help individuals work toward fulfilling and well-paid positions and helps businesses gain and retain employees

JOIN Inc. Training Nevadans for Careers is a 501(c)(3) community benefit organization in Northern Nevada with the goal of helping Nevadans break the cycle of poverty through education, job training and other occupational services aimed at helping individuals reach financial stability and personal success. They connect businesses, schools, government agencies, and other nonprofits with employment-ready career seekers to bridge the gap between workers and careers.

Through JOIN, career seekers can explore different careers and take assessments that will help discover a career path specifically suited to their personality and lifestyle. Clients can receive tuition assistance for training programs in the industry of their choice as well as “learn and earn” through on-the-job training with local businesses. There is also a Success Skills program available that helps freshen up digital and employability skills.

Anyone looking for these services can contact the JOIN office serving the Fallon area at 775-575-1222 or email [email protected] to learn more and take advantage of these programs.

JOIN also assists businesses through a “train and get reimbursed” method which places work-ready individuals in on-the-job training experiences and provides up to 100% salary reimbursement for those employees. If you own a small business and are interested in assistance from JOIN to meet your employee needs, contact Mark Tulman at 775-222-0192 or email him at  [email protected] to take advantage of this opportunity.

“Our programs present a unique opportunity for both career seekers and businesses,” said Denise Castle, CEO of JOIN Inc. “I hope members of our community take advantage of JOIN’s services as we work toward strengthening our communities through education.”

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
