A new documentary covering Woody Allen and his relationship with Soon-Yi just dropped on HBO. While the pilot episode is all that is available as of yet, the series explores Allen’s relationship with Mia Farrow and her children. It then delves deeper into Allen’s specific relationship with his current wife Soon-Yi, and another of Farrow’s children, Dylan.
While there are not many episodes available, the first of this series is not off to a great start. While the beginning episode of a documentary series is meant to set up background information and introduces all the people involved in the story, the first episode of this series was anti-climactic and overdramatic. Farrow and her daughter Dylan are introduced, yet hardly interviewed. A documentary is meant to objectively look at a story while receiving first-hand experiences. Instead, I learned where Woody Allen and Mia Farrow met and that was it. For the serious nature of this situation, it seems the beginning of this series trivialized it by making it too vague. I am interested to see where the documentarians lead the audience in remaining episodes, but don’t have much hope.

Comment text: A little disappointed in the parade and fireworks. With it being America's 250th Birthday, there should have been some more history, as in pioneers walking behind wagons.....etc. And as for fireworks, should have been more spectacular, like seeing hearts, and smiling faces and an American flag all dine in fire works.
