Obituary -- Barbara Ann Nauta Haughton

Barbara Ann Nauta Haughton was born the first child of Antonio and Mary Ann Nauta on the island of Guam on April 17, 1965. She attended Guam Community College and soon thereafter travelled to Charleston SC where she met the love of her life, a Navy Sailor, Drew A Haughton. They were married in December of 1986.

They were stationed in a variety of places including Jacksonville Fl., La Maddelena, Italy and Guam. Their final destination was Fallon, Nv.. where Barbara settled into the profession that she had adopted. Being a Child Care Provider gave Barbara a purpose which overcame all of the negative things that she had experienced in her past. There are many parents and children who still contact her and remember her inviting ways and dedication to them.

Barbara will be remembered for her dedication to her students and her cooking for the church we both attended. She was always ready to do what needed to be done both in her job and at church. Though she would be quiet when she was around those she didn’t know that would not be the case with those who opened up to her. Even though she was always dealing with migraine pain her smile would light up a room.

Barbara leaves behind her mother Mary Ann, her husband Drew and four brothers; Anthony, Richard, Michael & Joseph along with their extended families. She will be sorely missed.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Smith Family Funeral Home 505 Rio Vista Drive in Fallon.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
