Help for Small Business from SBA and GOED

The State of Nevada has received an SBA Declaration of Disaster that will allow the SBA to begin processing online Economic Injury Disaster Loan applications for small businesses throughout the State of Nevada.  Economic Injury Worksheet Form  The Economic Injury Worksheet Form available at diversifynevada.com is being used to track the economic impact to businesses in Nevada. It is important to note: this is a tracking document and not a SBA loan application. The SBA Disaster Loan is available at: https://www.sba.gov/funding-programs/disaster-assistance The Governor’s Office of Economic Development is assisting the Nevada Department of Emergency Management (DEM) andSmall Business Administration (SBA) to collect information on the impacts to small businesses as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). In order to estimate the economic impact of COVID-19, DEM is requesting small businesses to complete Economic Injury Worksheet Form describing how the business suffered a substantial economic injury as a result of the disaster and need financial assistance not otherwise available on reasonable terms. It is important to note this is not an application for funds and doesn’t not guarantee loan approval. Once forms are submitted, DEM and SBA emergency management will take necessary steps in the process. The purpose of this worksheet is to clearly document the impacts to small businesses. It is important to include any insurance coverage a business owner may have. If the impacted business insurance does not cover the need, they still may be eligible for assistance. Please fully complete forms and submitted to Susan Coyote [email protected] and Kelli Anderson [email protected].         Never miss the local news -- read more on The Fallon Post home page. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
