Amateur Radio operators offer event for local youth
Twice a year, Amateur Radio of Churchill County (ARCC) teams with the Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL) to offer an event designed to promote Amateur (Ham) Radio to our youth. Share the excitement with your kids or grandkids, a Scout troop, a church, and the general public. Kids Day is designed to give on-the-air experience to young people and hopefully foster interest in getting a license of their own. It is also intended to give older hams a chance to share their experiences and knowledge with the youth of Churchill County and surrounding communities. The ARCC will host this years Kids Day in front of Louie's Ace Hardware 1855 W Williams Ave. in Fallon on Saturday, January 4th, 2020 from 10 AM until 2 PM and look forward to letting any kid, (and even the kids at heart) an opportunity to get on Ham Radio and talk to the world.  There is no cost to participate. We can be contacted via our facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/ChurchillCountyAmateurRadio/       Never miss the local news -- read more on The Fallon Post home page. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
