Regina Ann Snooks passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, in Fallon, Nevada. She was 45 years of age.
She was born Nov. 7, 1980, in Reno, Nevada, to Ted E. Rodarte Sr. and Jacqualyn "Jackie" Snooks.
Regina married Juan Torres Sr. in 2008. Together they had two sons, Juan Keenai-Koda Torres Jr. and Dinahee Sitka Torres. In 2017, Regina married Lewis Bartlett, and they had a daughter, Rakenna Rain Bartlett.
Regina graduated from Churchill County High School in 2003 and received her associate degree in criminal justice in 2016. She worked at Amazon in Fernley and spent many years at Walmart and Louie’s Ace Hardware in Fallon. She also worked at Jet.com, which later became Walmart Distribution, in McCarran at USA Parkway. She later worked at Walmart in Fernley before finishing her career as a CHR driver on the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Reservation. She enjoyed driving and caring for her patients.
She is survived by her mother, Jackie Snooks; her sons, Koda and Dinahee Torres; her daughter, Rakenna Bartlett; her brothers, Ted Rodarte Jr. (Raelynn) and Cody Rodarte (Nikole); her sisters, Juliana Dixon, Lorna Mauwee, Tina (Bianca) and Tia Rodarte; her aunts, Laura Saunders, Katherine Blossom, Norma Harp, Wilma George, Janice George and Letitia Viljoen; her uncles, John Harp and Ben Viljoen; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and approximately 200 cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Orpha Hooper-George and Rose Rodarte; her grandfathers, James Street Sr. and Paul Rodarte Sr.; her father, Ted Rodarte Sr.; her brother, Blanchard Dixon; her uncles, William Street Sr., Norman Snooks, Ronald Snooks Sr., Paul Rodarte Jr. and Henry Rodarte; her aunts, Rose Snooks and Marcy George; her great-nephews, Colin Rae Mauwee and Kenai Wolf Dixon-Andrieux; and her great-niece, Aiyana Mauwee.
Regina had a passion for Native American dance and was one of the original Sage Spirit Dancers, established by the late Harriet Allen. She followed the powwow trail throughout her life and danced in a variety of styles. She was an artist who created regalia, taught others how to make moccasins and shared the history and traditions of powwow dancing. Regina was a beautiful soul who loved her family and community. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribal Gymnasium, 8955 Mission Road, Fallon.
Burial will follow at the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribal Cemetery.
