Greenwave Football over Truckee, 35 - 21

Greenwave Football over Truckee, 35 - 21
by Jayden Wassmuth, CCHS journalism student -- Fallon takes the win over Truckee in a hard fought battle with the Greenwave 35-21 over the Wolverines. During the first drive Truckee went three and out. The Greenwave started off hot, as Tommy McKormick rushed into the endzone for a Greenwave touchdown. Brock Richardson followed with another touchdown for the Greenwave. The Wolverines were scoreless throughout the first quarter, with Fallon at 13-0. During the second quarter the Wolverines started to get into the swing of things, passing to George Staff for their first score of the game. Soon, followed another touchdown for Truckee, making it 13-14 with Truckee’s first lead of the game. The Greenwave quickly answered with Richardson finding a seam down the middle, returning to the 44 yard line, and Tommy McKormick rushing in for the touchdown. Fallon chose to go for two with Mcormick rushing it in again converting the extra points. The score was 21-14 as the band marched onto the field for halftime. The third quarter started out hot with Jackson passing to McKormick for a touchdown, followed up with a sack from Thomas Steele. Both Truckee and Fallon scored another touchdown before the end of the quarter making it 35-21 with the Greenwave on top. The fourth quarter was a scoreless defensive battle, with Fallon taking the win over Truckee 35-21. Although fallon won in some ways it was disappointing as they didn’t play their best football - almost as if they were playing down to their competition. After the game Quarterback Elijah Jackson said, “We need a better week of practice this week, then we need to finish games, and we’ll be good.” Hopefully they do get some good practice as they play North Valleys next Friday in a televised game.     Read more local news – return to the home page at www.thefallonpost.org/ Support your local news source, make a contribution today. www.thefallonpost.org/support-our-work/ Never miss a local public meeting – sign up for the Friday email and get stories delivered straight to your inbox. www.thefallonpost.org/sign-up

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
