Greenwave Stays Perfect, Rolls Sparks

FALLON, Nev. — The Churchill County High School Greenwave varsity boys’ basketball team continued its impressive start to the season, notching three decisive victories last week to improve to 5-0.

The Greenwave opened the stretch with a 76-43 win over Incline Village on Wednesday, Dec. 10, followed by a 61-24 road victory at Wooster High School in Reno on Thursday, Dec. 11. Fallon capped the week with a 67-35 rout of Sparks on Saturday, Dec. 13.

Senior Calin Anderson powered the Greenwave against Sparks, tallying a game-high 24 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks. Anderson’s standout performance anchored a team effort that has propelled Fallon to an undefeated record early in the season.

The Greenwave will look to extend their winning streak on Thursday, Dec. 18, when they host South Tahoe. The action tips off with the freshman game at 3 p.m., junior varsity at 4:30 p.m., and varsity at 7:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to attend and cheer on the home team.

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
