The Churchill Arts Council is showcasing the work of Nevada artists Megan Berner and Rossitza Todorova in a new exhibition, “Cataloging the Ethereal”, which is now on display at the E.L. Wiegand Gallery inside the Oats Park Art Center. The exhibition runs from Nov. 22, 2025, through Jan. 5, 2026.
The gallery reception and artist panel are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6, from 4:30 to 6 pm, with the panel beginning at 5 pm. Visitors can also take part in a hands-on workshop led by Todorova from 10 am to noon, where she will offer/insight into her creative process and artistic techniques.
Organizers say the exhibition pairs two distinct artistic perspectives that explore fleeting moments, shifting light, and the desert landscape’s influence on perception. Rossitza Todorova describes the desert as a place of “both clarity and illusion,” noting that her work strives to reflect its “temporality and mystery.”
Megan Berner, a Reno-based visual artist, draws inspiration from the high desert in work that spans digital and experimental media, including instant film, cyanotypes, video, and sound installations. Todorova, a professor of art at Truckee Meadows Community College, works across painting, drawing, printmaking, video, and installation, exploring themes of time, memory, and transformation.
The Dec. 6 festivities will also include the Holiday Art Bar and A Classic Churchill Christmas concert featuring performances by local vocalists and instrumentalists.
All events will take place at the Oats Park Art Center, 151 East Park Street in Fallon. For more information, visit churchillarts.org or call (775) 423-1440.
