The City of Fallon crews have placed the beautiful Christmas tree in the center of Maine Street, marking the start of the holiday season and the countdown to the annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Friday, December 5.
Each year, the lighting of the tree brings the community together for an evening of small-town Christmas magic. This year’s celebration promises to be even brighter, featuring snow, fireworks, Santa’s Village, cookies with the Mayor, and a full afternoon of festivities leading up to the big moment.
Adding to the excitement, a special guest will push the plunger to officially light the tree, the culmination and official launch of the holiday season.
The event is also part of Fallon’s yearlong America 250 celebration, tying the holiday cheer to the community’s commemoration of the nation’s 250th birthday.
Visitors can enjoy ice skating, holiday treats, and live entertainment throughout the evening, and singing by the Churchill Kids Choir.
Bundle up, bring your family, and join the fun, because in Fallon, there’s no better way to kick off the Christmas season than under the glow of the town tree.
