Movies and More

September is in full swing, and we’ve got another weekend of fun, adventure, and community at the Fallon Theatre. From inspiring animated storytelling to heartwarming family favorites, our free movies this weekend are just the start. With exciting live performances, our annual Show ‘N’ Shine, and even a swashbuckling 4D movie experience on the horizon, there’s no better time to gather friends and family and enjoy everything your hometown theatre has to offer.

This Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m., join us for The Prince of Egypt (1998), presented in partnership with Victory Baptist Church. This stunning animated epic retells the biblical story of Moses, from his journey as a prince of Egypt to his calling as a leader who guides his people to freedom. With breathtaking visuals, powerful music, and a timeless story, it’s a film the whole family will enjoy. Rated PG, it runs 1 hour and 39 minutes.

Or, at 7 p.m. both nights, join us for Babe: Pig in the City (1998). In this charming sequel, everyone’s favorite pig travels far from the farm and finds himself in a sprawling city filled with new challenges and unlikely friends. It’s a sweet, funny, and adventurous continuation of the story that captured hearts worldwide. Rated G, it runs 1 hour and 37 minutes.

Looking ahead, there’s plenty more to enjoy at the Fallon Theatre:

On Saturday, September 20th at 7pm, don’t miss David Hayes - Master Showman. This family-friendly variety show blends music, comedy, and plenty of surprises, all performed by one incredibly talented entertainer. Tickets are just $15.

On Friday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m., get ready to rock with Absolom live at the Fallon Theatre. This Reno-based hard rock band is making waves in the local music scene and bringing their high-energy sound to our stage for one night only. Admission is free, so come out and show your support for live music while enjoying a powerful performance from a band on the rise.

Our annual fundraising Show ‘N’ Shine rolls into downtown on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This free, family-friendly event features classic cars, live music, delicious food, and more. Vehicle registration is now open online at fallontheatre.com.

That same evening at 7 p.m., join us back inside the theatre for a night of live classical music with the Toiyabe Chamber Music Society. Their “Not-So-Lonely Illustrated Concert Series” features the Toiyabe Trio: Dustin Budish on viola, Aaron Hill on oboe, and Emily Barnes on harp, performing alongside projected images to create a beautiful multi-sensory concert experience. Admission is a suggested donation of $5.

As always, movie screenings at the Fallon Theatre are free to attend, and our concession stand is stocked with popcorn, candy, and $5 soda floats in root beer or fun Pepsi flavors. Want to rent the theatre for your own event or put a special message on our marquee? Give us a call at 775-423-6210 or email us at [email protected]. A big thank-you to Victory Baptist Church for sponsoring this weekend’s showing of The Prince of Egypt. We’ll see you at the theatre!

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
