Fallon’s young rodeo athletes demonstrated exceptional skill and determination at the 2025 Nevada State High School Rodeo Finals, held in Winnemucca. Their efforts earned spots in prestigious national competitions, underscoring the strength and tradition of the local rodeo community.
Junior high competitor Clayton Hiibel earned state championships in both Breakaway Roping and Team Roping. His top finishes qualified him for the National Junior High Finals Rodeo (NJHFR), scheduled for June 22–28 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines. Hiibel and his Ribbon Roping partner, Jordan Process of Fernley, also placed fourth in the state, earning them a trip to nationals in that event as well.
Hiibel additionally qualified for the Silver State International Rodeo (SSIR), set for June 30–July 7 in Winnemucca. He will compete in Goat Tying and Chute Dogging.
High school competitors Wyatt Peek and Caleb Edgmon delivered strong performances in Team Roping, qualifying for the National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR), which will be held July 13–19 at the Sweetwater Events Complex in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Peek came close to qualifying in Tie-Down Roping as well, finishing sixth in the state standings.

End-of-season standings prior to the state finals showed Brooke Allison ranked 32nd in the Girls All-Around out of 75 contestants, followed by Lauren Goings at 46th and Aubrey Flower at 55th. On the boys' side, Wyatt Peek finished the regular season in 11th place, with Caleb Edgmon in 19th.

Fallon’s Stella Lee led the regular season standings in the Girls All-Around, securing the No. 1 spot. Chloe Kent followed at 11th, Megan Allison at 13th, Ainsley Macpherson at 20th, and Addilyn Flower at 31st. In the Boys All-Around, Stix Lee held the top position, with Clayton Hiibel close behind in third. Wyatt Greenwood ranked 16th, Rostin Snow 17th, and Zachary Greenberg 20th.
The top four finishers in each event at the state level earn the opportunity to compete at the National High School Finals Rodeo or National Junior High Finals Rodeo. For Fallon’s young cowboys and cowgirls, this season’s hard work is paying off as they prepare to represent Nevada on the national stage.
