Weekly Animal Shelter/Program News
Tiger is a handsome one-year-old gray tabby with soft stripes, a gentle soul, and a perfect mix of playful energy and laid-back charm.

CAPS (running the same pet as last week)

While nearly all of our dogs are currently enjoying time in foster homes, one special pup is still waiting—meet Rusty, our spotlight pet of the week. Rusty is a 4-year-old Red Australian Cattle Dog who was returned to the shelter after his owner passed away. He’s smart, high-energy, and full of personality. True to his breed, he can be a little barky and nippy, but he thrives on playtime, especially tug-of-war and herding his soccer ball.

We’ve recently taken in a large number of puppies and anticipate kitten arrivals soon. Donations of puppy and kitten food, cleaning supplies, and monetary support are greatly appreciated. For ways to help or adopt Rusty, visit capsnevada.org

FAWG

Tiger is a handsome one-year-old gray tabby with soft stripes, a gentle soul, and a perfect mix of playful energy and laid-back charm. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready for a loving home where he can be the center of attention.

Tiger enjoys chasing toy mice and basking in sunny windows, but his favorite thing is being petted—he’ll lean into your hand with a soft purr. He prefers to be the only pet in a calm, quiet home where he doesn’t have to share space or affection.

If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, Tiger might be your perfect match. He’s ready to find a home where he can truly relax.

City of Fallon Animal Shelter

Meet Shasta (D-388), a sweet, silly, and playful 1-year-old pup surrendered due to a landlord issue. Her previous owner says she loves hugs, cuddles, and being part of the family. Shasta is house trained, leash trained, and described as submissive and gentle. She gets along well with other dogs and is curious and playful with cats. Bath time? She’ll be waiting by the door! Shasta is full of love and ready for a fresh start.

If you think Shasta might be the perfect addition to your home, give us a call or stop by to meet her.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
