Movies & More December 13 & 14

Last weekend’s hometown Christmas celebration with the tree lighting, carols, ice skating, fun photos with Santa and The Grinch, and a beautiful parade of lights is what makes living in a fairly small rural Nevada town so worthwhile. Our volunteers at the Fallon Theatre are incredibly grateful to be an integral, historical part of these celebrations. We always look forward to what the holidays hold as we facilitate memory-making for our incredible little community.

We’re also looking forward to seeing so many of you here over the next weekend as we kick off our Eighth Annual Polar Express event. This year, however, Polar Express is also our winter holiday theme for December, with the lobby fully decorated for an immersive experience full of photo ops. Thanks to the sponsorship of our friends over at Bassham Furniture, this year is even more epic than usual, with the introduction of a 4D experience that includes sensory aspects such as vibrations, scent, mist, confetti, and more. We’re excited that these special showings sold out during presale and will be full houses. Therefore, no tickets will be available at the door. However, we also have three opportunities to see the regular movie, including our fantastic hot cocoa bar and a small gift for each child.

These available showtimes will be Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. If you’re unfamiliar with the story, “The Polar Express” tells the tale of a young boy embarking on a magical adventure to the North Pole on Christmas Eve while learning about friendship, bravery, and the spirit of Christmas. The movie is rated G with a runtime of 1 hour and 40 minutes. Wear your comfiest pajamas, bring fluffy blankets to curl up with, and enjoy hot cocoa and holiday wonder with your families.

Looking forward to next weekend, and with Christmas fast approaching, we’ll be celebrating with Whoville’s favorite green nemesis. The 2018 animated “The Grinch” and the 2000 live-action “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” will be playing for another weekend of fun and memory-making. We hope to see you here for more free holiday fun.

If you would like to book a Marquee Message or reserve an auditorium for a party, please leave us a message at 775-423-6210 or email us at [email protected].

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
