Greenwave Drama Auditions for Wizard of Oz

Greenwave Drama Auditions for Wizard of Oz

Welcome to the world of theatre. Read the information to learn how to get involved as an actor or technician in the upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz.

Read the Greenwave Theatre Participant Contract, fill out the Wizard of Oz Participant Form, clear your calendar, and prepare to attend the following dates: Mandatory Dance Audition Workshop: September 9, 4-6:30 p.m. to learn the dance.

Auditions are on September 11 and 12. Sign up for a time slot. Callbacks are September 13, 5 p.m. until released. You will receive an email if you need to attend, but be available just in case.

Rehearsals will begin on September 16. Your schedule will be built around the schedule you provide in your Participant Form, so fill it out accurately. Mandatory Rehearsals are November 18, 19, 20, 21, December 2, 3, 4, and 5, with performances on December 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14.

Find who you’d like to audition for. Grades 6-8 will only be considered for Munchkins and other ensemble roles. Prepare your monologue for your chosen (or similar) character, prepare the audition song, and attend the dance audition workshop (see date above), and then practice your choreography (link of our choreographer running it coming after the dance workshop.)

Then, attend your audition. You’ll sign up with three other people. Arrive early so we can take your picture. You’ll be admitted into the auditorium, and you’ll do your dance audition as a group. Then Participant 1 will act and sing, then Participant 2 and Participant 3.

Check your email on Friday after 8 a.m. to see if you need to attend Callbacks. If you do, please attend your designated time. The cast list will be sent out over the weekend, and we’ll begin rehearsals. A schedule with the cast list for at least the first two weeks will be sent out. The rest of the schedule will be added shortly after. If you’re cast, your $50 production fee is due September 20.

To get involved as a technician, read the Greenwave Theatre Participant Contract, fill out the Wizard of Oz Participant Form, clear your calendar and prepare to attend the Tech Meeting on September 9, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Crew heads and designers will be selected and then everyone put on a team. Crew heads will reach out to you to let you know when your assigned crew is meeting.

If you have any questions, see Mrs. Ashley Adams in the theatre room or email her at [email protected] for the information sheet that includes the Wizard of Oz Participant Form and all the links listed above.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
