Movies & More - Free Community Reunion Concert

Movies & More - Free Community Reunion Concert

It’s going to be a busy weekend at the theatre. There will be a free concert on Friday night, Open House Tours on Saturday, and a few hours of karaoke. The 10th Annual Community Reunion events will also have the theatre hopping.

The 2021 live-action animated hybrid film “Tom & Jerry” will play on Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. This cat-and-mouse duo has been tormenting each other since 1940, and little has changed 81 years later. The movie is rated PG and has a runtime of 1 hour and 41 minutes.

Friday night at 7 p.m., we’ll have local talent River Rogue on stage for a free Community Reunion concert event. River Rogue is a dynamic cover band hailing from Schurz/Fallon/Carson City, channeling the best of country, rock, and blues. As always, beer and wine will be available at the concession stand along with all our regular offerings.

The theatre will be open to the community on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We invite everyone to come and reminisce about their experiences in the historic theatre and see the improvements made during the past nine years by the non-profit Fallon Community Theatre, Inc. Several CCHS alumni will be on hand to offer customized guided tours for anyone interested. Afterward, please join the fun for two hours of karaoke from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. All ages are welcome to participate.

On Saturday night, at 7 p.m., the 1947 John Wayne classic “Angel and the Badman” will be showing. When a notorious gunman meets a beautiful Quaker girl, he’s forced to choose between his world and hers. This film has a runtime of 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Also, make sure you’re registered for the annual summer fundraising 5K fun run/walk on the 24th - The Cantaloupe Canter. Early registration and sponsorship forms can be found at fallontheatre.com, and more information can always be found on the theatre’s Facebook page.

Comment author: BonnieComment text: Good Luck to all of you. I mean this sincerely. My family fought the Navy for years. My parents owned Horse Creek (Pat and Linda Dempsey). They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
