New Millennium is increasingly becoming synonymous with community support in Fallon—for good reason. This week’s Cantaloupe Festival sponsor spotlight shines on New Millennium, a company that has contributed to local events and organizations for years and continuously serves Fallon in various ways.

For those unfamiliar with the company, New Millennium is a local Steel Dynamics Company that engineers and manufactures a comprehensive range of steel joist and deck products for commercial construction projects. Founded in 1999 in Butler, IN, the company has earned a respected name. It has become one of the largest sources of cost-efficient, high-performance structural steel joists, joist girders, and deck solutions.

In addition to supporting the Cantaloupe Festival, New Millennium has given extensively to organizations such as the Churchill County Domestic Violence Intervention, Out of Egypt Food Pantry, Churchill Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs, the Eddy House, Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation, American Legion Post 16, Churchill Animal Protection Society (CAPS), Calvary Chapel Fernley Food Bank, and the CCSD Middle School Music Program – just to name a few. Their generosity touches many community needs, providing valuable resources and support to those in need.

New Millennium’s financial support for the Cantaloupe Festival and Country Fair has been instrumental in helping the event grow to what we enjoy today. Behind the scenes of Nevada's premier agricultural festival, resources flow out faster than they come in. Every bit of support, financial and otherwise, is essential for a successful event. Thanks to Diamond Sponsor, New Millennium, for their incredible and continued support of the Cantaloupe Festival.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
