Movies & More - “Teen Titans Go! to the Movies," “Rio Lobo,” and Acid Box along with Annabelle and the Desert Scrubs July 20

A great weekend lineup, including some local live music, is heading your way.

First, on both Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20, at 6 p.m., we have “Teen Titans Go! to the Movies.” Teen Titans Go!” is an American animated television series based loosely on DC Comics’ fictional superhero team. The 2018 film follows five teenage superheroes who dream of Hollywood stardom while thwarting an evil villain. The movie is rated PG and has a runtime of 1 hour and 24 minutes.

Our 7 p.m. movie on Friday night is the 1970 John Wayne classic, “Rio Lobo”. After the Civil War, Cord McNally searches for two traitors whose treachery caused the defeat of McNally’s unit and the loss of a close friend. The runtime of this film is 1 hour and 54 minutes.

On Saturday night at 7 p.m., the theatre will be rocking with Acid Box, a Fallon-local band that blends hard rock, heavy metal, and punk with a blues influence. They’ll be joined by additional local talent, Anabelle and the Desert Scrubs. The cover charge is $10. Make a date night of it on Maine Street with dinner and drinks.

The Fallon Theatre will participate in the 10th Annual Community Reunion in August. There will be a free concert on Friday, August 16, at 7 p.m. with River Rogue; open-house Theatre Tours on Saturday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Community Karaoke from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Also, don’t miss our annual summer fundraising 5K fun run/walk on August 24, the Cantaloupe Canter. Early registration and sponsorship forms can be found on our website, fallontheatre.com.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
