
Operate a large feeder mixer while maintaining safe operating practices. Experience operating a loader and large truck required.
Basic computer skills preferred for computer feeding system in a large truck mounted feed mixer and operation of hand-held Nomad for mixing rations and feeding livestock on a large scale.
Sustain feed bunk area free of debris.
Observe and evaluate feed intakes and communicate concerns with managers in a timely manner.
Assist in cleaning and maintaining equipment and facility.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States and hold a valid US Driver's License. No CDL required.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position and work scheduled hours.
Experience with materials handling and loader operation preferred.
Ability to read and write the English language and evaluate basic performance graphs.
The ability to effectively communicate needed repairs of the equipment, complete tasks as directed, follow specific verbal and written instruction given in English, this includes directives given by supervisors, nutritionists, and other dairy feeders and staff.
Maintain professional attitude, a solid work ethic, and be a team player.
Provide 3 work references, and resume preferred but not required.
** Training will be provided on site-specific procedures and dairy practices.
*** Salary is negotiable, depending on experience.
