Churchill County Early Voting Begins May 25

Nevada’s primary election will be held June 11, 2024. Sample ballots were mailed May 1 to all active registered voters. Mail-in ballots were sent out on May 10.      

Early voting will take place in the weeks before election day. Nevada is a closed primary election state. That means if you register with the Democratic or Republican Party, you may vote only for candidates from your own party, and you may also vote in nonpartisan contests in the primary election. If you chose a party affiliation other than Democratic or Republican, you may vote only in nonpartisan contests.

Please visit the Nevada Secretary of State’s website to confirm or update your voter registration.

Early voting for the primary election begins May 25 and runs through June 7 at two locations in Churchill County. The voting booths in the Churchill County Commissioner Chambers, located at 155 N. Taylor St., in Fallon, are available on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesday, May 28, 2024 through Friday, June 7, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voting is also available at the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Community Learning Center, 8955 Mission Rd., Fallon, Nevada, on Saturday, May 25, and Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

Early voting is closed on Monday, May 27, to observe Memorial Day at both locations.

Churchill County’s official ballot drop box locations for mail-in ballots are:

Clerk/Treasurer’s Office at 155 N. Taylor Street, Suite 110, in Fallon

City of Fallon Clerk’s Office at 55 W. Williams Ave., Fallon, Nevada

Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe Administration Office at 565 Rio Vista West, Fallon, Nevada 

Primary Election Day is only at the Fallon Convention Center, 100 Campus Way in Fallon, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

The 2024 General Election takes place on November 5, 2024. General election ballots will have all contests listed regardless of your political party affiliation.
