Kazuko Yamaguchi Balcom was born on February 12, 1933. She passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2024, with her family by her side.

She was born in Japan where she married Ronald. F Balcom on January 9, 1969, while serving in Japan. She had a son, Ronald Jr., and a daughter Malinda. The Navy transferred the family to the United States where they were stationed in California and Oregon, and then to Fallon in 1976, where they stayed after Ron retired in 1979.

Kazuko was a lover of the outdoors, hunting, and fishing, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved gardening. 

She is survived by her husband Ronald Balcom, son Ronald Jr. (Denise), and daughter Malinda (David), and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on May 23, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at the Old Post Office.
