Obituary - Lida Pardick Ayers

Lida Pardick Ayers passed away peacefully on February 11, 2024, at Banner Churchill Hospital, surrounded by her nephew, Skip, and nieces, Patti and Debbie.

Lida was born October 25, 1929, on the Bass Ranch, as her mother was the cook for the ranch for several years. Lida was one of eight children who were all raised in Stillwater. Lida married a Navy man, Robert Ayers, and traveled to multiple bases, including Japan. Upon her husband’s retirement, they moved to Reno, NV, where Lisa worked for the FHA/Housing and Urban Development for over 20 years. Lida and Bob then moved back to Fallon, where they managed and were caretakers for the Greenhead Club for several years.

Family was very important to Lida, and she was the family recorder for all her brothers and sisters. Her Bible told the whole Pardick Family story.

Lida was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mae, husband Bob Ayers, son Timothy Ayers, and all of her siblings.

Lida then met the love of her life, Ski Wrobleski. They enjoyed traveling and participating in Naval functions around the country. They were together for 18 years until his death in 2015.

Lida moved to Highland Manor in 2021, where she resided until her passing.

Lida is survived by her daughter, Sharon Griffen, grandsons Donnie, Clark, and Ron Griffen, and their families, as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews from Texas and Tennessee.

She will be greatly missed.

Arrangements were made at the direction of Smith’s Funeral Home, Fallon, NV.

One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
