Fallon Chamber Awards Banquet Set for February 2

Fallon Chamber Awards Banquet Set for February 2

Lucy Carnahan announced to a packed crowd at last week’s Chamber luncheon that the Annual Awards Dinner will be held on February 2, 2024, at the Fallon Convention Center. The theme this year is “Desert Rose.” Nominations for the Annual Awards are now open and can be made by clicking the link on the Fallon Chamber website at FallonChamber.com.

During the luncheon, Carnahan reported that 33 new members joined the Chamber in 2023, and eight ribbon-cutting ceremonies are coming soon.

The Fallon Chamber is the home of Fallon’s Karma Box, where community members can donate toiletries, snacks, and items that anyone in need may use.
Local business owners can contact Carnahan at 423-2544 or [email protected] to find details on becoming members.

Please take time to help us recognize the amazing Fallon businesses and community leaders who impacted the Fallon Business climate in 2023.

For nominations, Chamber members please note

  • Nominate your favorite business under each category
  • Category winners from the last year's Awards Banquet are not eligible for the same category nomination for this year's award
  • Only one vote per email and only three from each IP address

Award recipients must be a Fallon Chamber of Commerce member currently in good standing

In two weeks, the top three nominees will be announced and you can vote again for a winner.
If you are unsure of who are Fallon Chamber of Commerce members or categories you can view at https://www.fallonchamber.com/member-directory/0.

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
