Weeks of planning, talking, ticket selling, food ordering, and busy hands all led to a day of huge success.

Churchill County High School FFA Chapter hosted its first drive-thru dinner. The event was held at the Churchill County Multi-Purpose Building on Thursday, September 21. Parents, community volunteers, FFA Advisor Ms. Aspen Johnson, and her FFA classes participated in the event.

Coordinated under the direction of Ms. Johnson, Allie Fait, Riggin Stonebarger, Bailey Prinz, Heidi Fait, Codie Stonebarger, Stacy Prinz, and Christy Dock led the fundraising event. Proceeds will help Churchill County High School FFA members who qualified to compete at the National FFA Convention, which takes place in Indianapolis, IN, November 1 - 4. Any excess funds will be rolled into the standard Chapter account to help pay for supplies for meetings, banquets, and conventions.

FFA strives to set students up for success through Career Development Events (CDE) and Leadership Development Events (LDE).

State Winning Qualifying members for the National FFA Convention are as follows: Allie Fait, State High Individual Creed Speaking LDE, Riggin Stonebarger, Allie Fait, Bailey Prinz, and Jeramiah Prinz, State High Team Livestock Judging CDE, and Riggin Stonebarger, State High Individual Livestock Judging.

Thank you, Fallon, Nevada, and the community of people supporting the next generation. We are so excited to have your support and willingness to show up. We look forward to making this event happen again, and it would not be possible without all of you.

We want to express a very special thank you to the Rafter 3C Community for allowing the use of the building and parking lot. Your assistance throughout the day was tremendous, and our day could not have happened without you.

Our sincerest appreciation to:

Heidi, Stacy, Codie, and Christy - thank you for all your time, the weeks of meetings, traveling, working, ordering, food prepping, and everything that went into making this event possible.

Mark and Alanzo Williams, Patty Julian, Carla Pomeroy, Barbara Zoellner, Heather Nield, Zack Bunyard, and Tom Riggins - what an outpouring of support. Thank you for giving your time so willingly. It is because of people like you who show up that inspires others to want to do the same.

Ms. Johnson and our entire FFA Chapter, you guys are truly amazing. You washed, prepared, hustled, bustled, stirred, and checked timers. With your hands and eagerness to jump in and get the job done, the must-haves of the day were accomplished.

Thank you again.

Who and what they REALLY were. Because they were devotional and IMPORTANT to the humans they connected with. The content of their life bled so that others could feel their own life’s importance. Teachers of justifiable life and art. That all can absorb and use as the best fertilizer for THEIR lives. Giving the silent secrets and the loud guidance. The Melon Man was a perfect specimen for how to devote. His passing meant a life book of feeling/knowing what gives other humans their paths to Love and Knowledge. Some humans are meant to show others their paths. And in that they secrete ways to profitably exist.Comment publication date: 3/18/26, 4:50 PMComment source: In memorium -- The Melon Man
