Obituary — Ivan Kinsey

Ivan Kinsey, age 60, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born September 20th, 1962, in Springfield, Missouri. Ivan married the love of his life and soulmate Leann (Johnson) Kinsey February 10th, 2001, at the Silver Queen, in Virginia City, Nevada. Ivan enjoyed spending time with family, friends and his fur babies. He loved a good game of golf, watching Nascar, enjoyed fishing and was a huge sports fan. In 1983 Ivan joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country for 13 years. Ivan was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; Battle "E" Ribbon; First and Second Good Contact Medal; Navy Expeditionary Medal; National Defense Service Medal and the Naval Air Crewman. Ivan is survived by his wife Leann of Fort Smith; sons KC Lee of Valdez, Alaska and JC Lee of Fallon, Nevada; daughter Rhianon Holley and husband Josh of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren Joshua and Zachary Keeling, Cayson, Emma, and Jack Holley, Mace Lee and Tila Compehos; three brothers, Hughey Miller and wife Donna of Van Buren, Arkansas, Richard Miller and wife Brenda of Hunnington, Arkansas, Roy Kinsey and wife Theresa of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania; step-father Richard Horn of Fort Smith, Arkansas; brother-in-law Bill Johnson and partner Barbara of Glendale, Arizona; aunts Neva Craig and husband Ed of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, Jeanne Arnold and husband Jim of Floral City, Florida; uncle Robert Kaley of Columbia, Missouri. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends and family, as well as his navy brothers and sisters. Ivan is preceded in death by his father James Kinsey and mother Ola Lee Kinsey-Horn; and sister Tamera DeLille. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 Garland Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Jude Hospital at stjude.org or the Artemis Project in Hackett Arkansas at theartemisprojectrescue.org/. Services under the direction of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all.
